The principle of the Visofit® Eye Trainer from Wraban®, formulated by the late professor Jozsef Öveges, is as follows:

  • In our eye lens, and in the vitreous body of the eye, there are very tiny specks that cause a dispersion of the light traveling across the eye. The result is that, in addition to the rays that draw the image, the retina gets a varied amount of the dispersed light as well.
  • The deficiencies of simple eyeglass lenses mean that light from a certain point on an object won’t unite in exactly the same point on the other side of the lens. The image we see therefore lacks sharpness.
  • If, however, we use only the center of the lens and direct the light through a tiny hole, we escape most of the flaws of the whole lens, and consequently gain a sharper and clearer image.
  • With the help of the disks on both screens, we direct light on the healthy field of the eye, which makes the eye muscles direct the pupil towards the incoming light. The regular use of the device strengthens the eye muscles and prompts them to work as they should.

And simple to use

The Visofit® Eye Trainer from Wraban® looks just like a pair of sleek, modern sunglasses with very dark lenses.
Only when you look closer do you notice the adjustments that can be made to help you train your eyes.

Once your optometrist has shown you how to adjust the focus adjustment discs, you only need to wear the Eye Trainer for a short period each day while performing sedentary activities such as reading or television viewing.
